Perfect proteins

To avoid the leading cause of death Cardiovascular disease and stop or slow chronic diseases such as Dementia and Cancer we need diverse sets of antioxidants from plants to protect DNA from oxidative stress to make sure proteins are made perfectly. Every cell has DNA strands at the center of its nucleus, their purpose is to hold genes for the construction of proteins and if they are damaged the cell will not be able to build proteins that function as they should. "Damage to DNA by ROS (Reactive Oxygen Species) leads to disease and aging. As ROS damage induces cancer-causing mutations, disrupts enzymes, and injures membranes it reduces immunity. Excess Free Radicals lead to Aging, Cardiovascular Disease, Cancer, Obesity, Diabetes 2, Alzheimer's Disease, and other chronic diseases by damaging healthy cells (Chamberlain 1998)." Reactive Oxygen Species damage molecules by stealing electrons through a chemical reaction called oxidation. Some of these are really nasty and produce another reactive oxygen species even after already stealing one electron. If ROS damages a nucleotide in a gene the production of the protein will be deformed. That's why it is essential to have antioxidants running throughout the body at all times. Plants make compounds called phytochemicals such as Terpenoids, Flavanoids, Polyphenols, Phenolic Acids, Tannins, Alkaloids, Carotenoids, Lipids, and Amino Acids that act as antioxidants. These molecules either directly lend electrons to neutralize Reactive Oxygen Species or cause metabolic pathways to increase glutathione (An antioxidant produced by humans). One example is the NRF2 upregulation when eating sulforaphane from broccoli. By drinking juice, we ensure our DNA is producing perfect proteins.

"Our DNA is estimated to code for 50,000 -100,000 different proteins. They are the most versatile macromolecule in the body and do most of the work in a cell.
